August 12th: Montecatini Terme, the city of the horse

Tomorrow, August 12th, the town of Montecatini Terme will live a day dedicated to the horse: several initiatives are scheduled during the event “Montecatini Terme, the city of the horse”, made by the “The horse and the man” Association in collaboration with the town of Montecatini Terme and Trenno.

In the morning, at 11.00, at the “Sala Consiliare” in the town hall will be held a round table dedicated to the theme “The horse and the man”, chaired by journalist Mario Natucci with interventions by journalists and horses experts.

In the afternoon, starting at 17:00, the Thermal Park will host a “Hippo-village” where children can ride ponies provided by the equestrian center “Corte degli Angeli” of Montecatini.

Finally, the evening with horses on the catwalk: the streets of the city will parade police on horseback, riding schools and, thanks to the collaboration of Trenno, a sulky and a pair of horses, an historic carriage,  a Florentine “barroccio” and a Roman chariot , used during “Ben Hur” movie, completely restored and driven by a coachman in Roman dress, and finally a Spanish horse mounted sidesaddle “all’amazzone”.
