MILAN – The day of the Gran Premio of the Jockey Club, Sunday 19 October, is the most prestigious of the entire season of gallop races in Milan, and the collateral initiatives organized for the occasion will certainly live up to the prestigious standards: within the racetrack there will be ten artisan stands, including a brewmaster, a producer of accessories and gift objects using recycled materials and a producer of glass jewelry who will create her works directly at the racetrack, as well as artisans who will exhibit leather bags, belts, scarves and much more.
High cylinder vehicles will be back, with ten Ferraris on exhibitm as well as a historic Balilla.
A stand will also be present from the artisan saddlery Gavioli, which will donate a saddle to the winner of the Gran Premio of the Jockey Club.
The band of the Local Police of Milan will be guests at the racetrack, as well as the police dog unit, Carabinieri on horseback and in motorcycles, and Police on horseback.
As always, great space will be dedicated to children: in collaboration with Infestiamoci!, on Sunday afternoon, the entertainment will include kids’ makeup, pony rides, carriage rides, a coloring area with lots of new prizes for the drawing contest, as well as an inflatable mini-castle and fun and games in the park with entertainers.
The magician Alex and the caricaturist will again display their talent in the roadways of the racetrack, and three special afternoon events are worth marking on your agenda:
– 15:45, babydance and minidisco dance contest;
– 16:30, the puppet show “Frog Giacomina in search of the Lost Planet”, in collaboration with the Teatro delle Chimere of Pavia;
– 17:30, award ceremony for the drawing and ballon sculpture contest for everyone.
Weather forecasts are favorable, but considering that we are now in the fall season, fresh roasted chestnuts will be available.
The Gran Premio of the Jockey Club will be broadcasted live on Sky Sport 24 (Sky channel 200) at 17:45 on Sunday 19 October, while the entire afternoon of races may be enjoyed on Unire Tv, which is visible unencrypted on Sky channel 220: on Sunday as well, the filmings will be enriched with shots realized using radiocommanded drones, the mobile arm “Jimmy” for views on the tracks and on the grandstands, and amazon with a “camera cap”.
